Student Tickets

There are three opportunities for students and education professionals to save money on tickets to Pittsburgh Opera performances:

  • Student Rush
  • CheapSeats
  • Group discounts

Student Rush – Half Price Seats!

Starting two hours before every performance, students with valid school ID can go to the Benedum Center Box Office and purchase up to two tickets for any available seats for half price.

CheapSeats

CheapSeats are the easy and affordable way for students, faculty, and the staff at our partner colleges and universities to enjoy great opera. Prices range from 50% to 75% for select seating in either the Orchestra or the Balcony. Cheap Seats are available online at www.pittsburghopera.org/cheapseats. Simply go there and pick your school from the drop list.

Pitt Arts is our partner for the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to online ordering, members of the Pitt community can go to Pitt Arts, 9th Floor, William Pitt Union, and fill out a CheapSeats order form. For Pitt Arts information, go to their office, call them at 412-624-4498, or visit Pitt Arts

Click here to order CheapSeats online through Pittsburgh Opera and select your school from the drop-down list. If your school is not on the list, contact Randy Adams at 412-281-0912, x 213 or e-mail groups@pittsburghopera.org and ask how your school can become a CheapSeats partner.

Please note that CheapSeats are intended for individual use. You can purchase no more than five tickets per performance. Also be sure to select your school from the drop list. CheapSeats partner schools receive special benefits based on the tickets they sell.
