Holli Harrison is a second year
PittsburghOperaCenter artist. She holds
a master of music degree from RiceUniversity where she sang
the roles of Magda in The Consul and
Baba in The Rake’s Progress, and a bachelor of music degree from
MiddleTennesseeStateUniversity
where she appeared as the Witch in Hansel and Gretel and Marcellina in Le Nozzedi Figaro. Her concert credits include Handel’s Messiah
at RiceUniversity
and with the Middle Tennessee Choral Society, Schubert’s Mass in
A-flat minor with St. Luke’s Chamber Choir and Mozart’s Requiem
with the Houston Chamber Choir. Miss Harrison has appeared with the
Seagle Music Colony as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly and will be performing at the
MusicAcademy
of the West in the summer of 2002 in the role of Mum in Albert Herring.
Her roles with Pittsburgh Opera Center include the title role in
La Tragèdie de Carmen and La Virtù
in L’IncoronazionediPoppea. She also appeared as Mrs. Hildebrand
in Street Scene and as Kate Pinkerton in Madama
Butterfly on the Pittsburgh Opera’s mainstage.
