Originally from St. Charles, Illinois Daniel Teadt graduated from the University of Illinois with both his bachelor and master of music degrees. He was also an apprentice artist with Opera Theatre St. Louis in 1999, and completed two summers with the Merola Opera Center of the San Francisco Opera in 2000 and 2001.

While with the San Francisco Opera Center Mr. Teadt performed in two Western Opera Theatre tours as Falke and Frank in Die Fledermaus (2000) and as Guglielmo in Cosė fan tutte (2001) which was also performed while at Merola.  In April 2002, Mr. Teadt will be performing Marcello in La Boheme with Tri-Cities Opera and will join the Central City Opera this summer where he will sing Starveling in A Midsummer Night's Dream.  Other roles include Mercurio in La Calisto with the San Francisco Opera Center and Sid in Albert Herring, Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Don Pedro in La Perichole and Belcore in the Elixir of Love all with Illinois Opera Theatre.

Concerts include a Schwabacher Debut recital with Steven Blier in San Francisco (2001), baritone soloist in Carmina Burana, and Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass with U.I. Symphony.

Awards include 2nd place winner at the MacAllister Awards collegiate division in 2001, 2nd place winner at the Palm Beach Opera Awards collegiate division in 2000, a 3rd place regional winner in the Metropolitan National Council auditions in 2000, Gunzalus Excellence in Singing Award in 2000 and Illinois Opera Theatre Award in 1999.

Daniel Teadt has studied with Ronald Hedlund and Marlena Malas and has coached with John Wustman, Gary Wedow, Steven Blier and Martin Katz.
