Listen to Tim Benz (Bartolo from our marketing campaign) interview Kevin Glavin (our Bartolo on stage).

No matter how you may feel when you arrive at the Benedum Center for this opera, you'll leave laughing, maybe even singing, "Figaro, Figaro, Fiiiiigaro!"  It's hard not to love that charming barber/man about town in this infectiously funny opera (the "prequel" to The Marriage of Figaro).
Matthew Worth, David Portillo and Daniela Mack make their Pittsburgh Opera debuts as Figaro, Almaviva and Rosina; ( Kevin Glavin (Falstaff, 2009; The Marriage of Figaro, 2010) and Paolo Pecchioli (The Italian Girl in Algiers, 2009) ramp up the physical comedy, as Bartolo and Basilio. This resplendent production comes from Minnesota Opera and Washington National Opera. Music Director Antony Walker conducts; A. Scott Parry directs.
