If Rinaldo were a movie, you can imagine the casting: heroic Rinaldo, with chiseled features; ingenue Almirena, with virtue to spare; and enchantress Armida, Queen of Damascus and a truly delicious villainess. In this colorful, quirky fairy tale of an opera, you'll cheer for all three as Handel's glorious music brings our hero to victory in battle and in love. Our Resident Artists star in this production at CAPA Theater. Baroque specialist Michael Beattie conducts; Crystal Manich (La bohème, 2009) directs. Chatham Baroque provides continuo.
