Sun, April 22: Opera News’ 13th Annual Awards Gala

This fabulous event will celebrate the careers of four classical singers—soprano Sonya Yoncheva, tenor Vittorio Grigolo, soprano Hei-Kyung Hong, and mezzo-soprano Fiorenza Cossotto—as well as conductor William Christie. The elegant black-tie celebration will take place at the Plaza Hotel and features a performance by Stephanie Blythe (2008 Opera News Award recipient), dinner, and live and silent auctions.

Your Dress Circle Club Level seats are a few steps away, the perfect vantage point to take in Sher’s production of Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette. A hit of the 2016–17 Met season, the sweeping tragedy returns with Ailyn Pérez and Bryan Hymel, as the star-crossed young lovers. Plácido Domingo conducts.
